The training was highly practical, ensuring that participants developed real-world rescue skills. Hands-on exercises helped them gain confidence in safely handling and rescuing snakes. In addition, interactive presentations were delivered to enhance their understanding of snake behavior, conservation importance, and human-wildlife conflict management.

Strengthening Conservation and Community Safety

One of the major achievements of this training was raising awareness about the ecological role of snakes. By addressing misconceptions and reducing fear, the program encouraged coexistence between humans and wildlife.

To support future rescue efforts, the Division Forest Office provided snake rescue kits to the participants. These kits will enable them to safely conduct rescues in their local areas, helping to mitigate snakebite incidents. As a result, the Udayapur region now has trained individuals who can respond to snake-related situations effectively.

Additionally, the Division Forest Office, Triveni Katari, Udayapur, has taken an active role in wildlife rescue efforts. Locals now contact forest officials whenever a snake enters their homes, ensuring that rescues are conducted safely without harming the snakes.
